In addition to the normal Street Fighter and Alpha series, Capcom also released a number of partially-related peripheral series, as an attempt to cash in on its success: Street Fighter (1990s Western Animation series). ![]() Street Fighter: Assassin's Fist ( live-action miniseries).Street Fighter Online: Mouse Generation.Street Fighter The Miniatures Game - Tabletop miniatures game.Street Fighter: The Storytelling Game - Tabletop RPG that uses White Wolf's Storyteller system.Street Fighter The Novel Where Strength Lies (illustrated novel).SF 25 The Art Of Street Fighter (art book).Street Fighter: Dreams Never End (fan novel authorized by Capcom).Ready Player One: Ryu and Chun-Li appear multiple times as background avatars in the OASIS, even joining in the final battle.Ryu, Ken, and Zangief return in Ralph Breaks the Internet. Wreck-It Ralph: Ryu, Ken, Bison, Zangief, Chun-Li, and Cammy all make significant cameos in the film, officially used with Capcom's permission.Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li (the second live-action movie).Street Fighter (the first live-action movie). ![]() Street Fighter (American comics from UDON).Street Fighter (American comics from Malibu).Street Fighter Gaiden, an episodic two-volume manga focusing on the Street Fighter II cast's adventures.Street Fighter III Ryu Final, a manga following Ryu as he battles Akuma.Street Fighter Sakura Ganbaru, a manga about Sakura from Street Fighter Alpha 2.Street Fighter Alpha, a manga adaptation of the Alpha series.Super Street Fighter II Cammy, a one-volume manga focusing on Cammy.Street Fighter II: The Manga, an adaptation of the Street Fighter II game.Street Fighter: The Movie (1995) (technically two different games, an arcade version and a console version).Street Fighter Alpha trilogy (1995-1998).The series not only has multiple games, but some of them are their own series with multiple versions and revisions: Even modern fighting games cling tightly to the features and tropes innovated by this series. Street Fighter ( specifically its first sequel, Street Fighter II: The World Warrior) gave the genre depth, popularity, and, most importantly, legitimacy. Even the relatively few one-on-one fighters that predated the original Street Fighter had, at most, only a handful of characters (only one or two of them playable), and extremely simplistic controls. ![]() Street Fighter is a long running series of fighting games by Capcom, that have basically defined the genre.īefore Street Fighter, most fighting games were side-scrolling beat 'em ups in the style of Kung Fu Master. So yeah, we suggest not buying Fashion Sakura for $100 or even $50 because it's crazy to think that at full price, you could almost get 2 copies of Street Fighter 6."HADOKEN!" note Clockwise from top: Sagat, Chun-Li, M.Bison, Rose. I can already imagine, however, that the end-game grind probably isn't going to be very pretty. ![]() In the first day, I've managed to get 70 character pulls pretty easily, and 8 of them have been A-rank fighters - so not really much to complain about there at the moment. I'm not even against dropping a few dollars here and there for free-to-play and gacha games, but never more than like $5 at once.įor someone trying to play for free, SF: Duel does of course start out pretty generous in terms of what they give you, but that's almost to be expected in these types of games. Why price a character at $5 because to reach $100, you'd need 20 players to buy in, but you only need 1 whale if you just price it at $100. It's just pretty much the state of the mobile game market. Now, they try and make it more enticing by giving you a coupon of up to 50% off, but that's still probably like $40–45 more than most would be willing to pay for a single digital character on their phones.įashion Sakura is clearly the highest end of what the game will ask of you to spend on a single item, and while SF: Duel isn't the worst I've seen for monetization, it's hard to say you get the most bang for your buck by coughing up some Bison dollars.Ī few of their starter packs aren't terrible for what they give you up to the $10 range in our opinion though that also caps out at $99.99 for the Bison bundle ironically.Ĭrunchyroll Games deciding to charge out the wazoo for Sakura probably isn't a shock at this point. The legendary fighter Fashion Sakura is just listed in the Fight Mall for $100. And that's not going through gacha pulls or anything luck-based either.
